It is the technology involving the maintenance, development, and use of computer systems, software, and networks for the processing and distribution of data.

Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn. Bhd. has a partnership with a company in Japan. This partnership works as they provide the company in Japan with Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) while the company provide them with facilities such as warehouse and transportation.

Thus, they need to share data and information with each other a lot. Normally, they will exchange information via email with the company in Japan while they use WhatsApp to exchange information or communicate with co-workers. As you can see, Brilliant is a very flexible and comfortable company if we are talking about how they treat each other.

Transportation

Transportation refers to the movement of goods from one location to another.It is classified as a logistics subunit.Companies ship their products by land,air,railway,road or sea.Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn. Bhd. is an experienced Shipping Agency in Malaysia with experienced management and personnel. Brilliant was created by two shareholders, Mr. Zulnazri and Mr. Malik. Brilliant has been in the agency, brokerage, and forwarding business since 2016.

Modes transports that they use are road and sea.Beside that,the transportation that they use on road is truck.In the beginners at 2016,they just use one truck for deliver the palm kennel shell to their partnership company at Japan.Then,they upgrade their company at 2019 and have seven trucks for deliver the goods.Trucks connect the manufacturer and the retailer by conveying the consignment from point A to point B to the end users.

They use ships too for send the goods to Japan because as we may know, Japan is a nation that values timeliness, therefore they must prepare the documentation a day before the deadline in order to dispatch the items and ensure that they arrive without damage so,they decide to use ship for their delivery to Japan.

Purchasing and Order Processing

The order processing includes all businesses' steps to create, approve, verify, arrange and track Purchase Orders (POs) from the good that is out for sale until it is delivered and sold. Generally, businesses go through a formal process when purchasing something. 

To ensure timely purchase order processing, the purchase order process includes several compliance checkpoints and approval or input tasks. The following are the purchase order processing of Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd.

 

The first step is the client will create a purchase order (PO) and send it to the company. In the Purchase Order (PO), the client will state;

·                     Price per unit

·                     Delivery date

·                     Delivery location

·                     Billing address

·                     Payment terms

 

Then, Brilliant Shipping Agency receives the PO and confirms the company will be able to fill the order. If the order cannot be completed, Brilliant as a seller will tell the client that they cannot fulfil the demand and then the PO is cancelled. However, if the order can be filled, the seller begins preparing the order by gathering inventory or scheduling necessary personnel. The order or service is shipped with the PO number so that it can be easily matched with the delivery information. The buyer pays the invoice in accordance with the terms specified in the PO.

 

Brilliant then need to decide to approve the request or not. Following that, they submit bids based on the POs. Bids are approved based on price, quality, service, schedule and some other factors specific with the contract. After the bid is accepted, Brilliant and their client must agree to the contract. The contract typically includes terms and conditions relevant to the purchase, such as what support comes with the item being purchased or how to handle any objection.

 

Brilliant obtain the Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) from RISDSA, FELDA and other private fields. The supplier will then produce and deliver the items being purchased based on the outlined schedule and shipping requirements. The client will verify quality and match the goods received against the expected goods. By then, Brilliant will notify the supplier if the goods don’t meet the client’s requirements. Typically, the supplier will send the Brilliant an invoice that outlines the price and payment terms.

 

Brilliant will then match the purchase order with the PO and invoice from the supplier once the goods have been approved. The client then would double-check to ensure that all charges are correct. The purchase order is closed out if the client approved.

Inventory Management and Warehousing

Warehouse inventory management is the process of receiving, storing, and tracking goods in a warehouse, as well as managing warehouse workers and minimizing storage space and prices, all of which have a direct impact on fulfillment, shipping, and the customer experience.

The way you handle inventory in any warehouse has an impact on how much money you spend on logistics and how efficiently your supply chain functions. A warehouse that performs well delivers customer orders accurately and on time.

Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn. Bhd. do not have a warehousing service. The Japanese company will provide the warehouse. Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn. Bhd. will send the palm kernel shell to their warehouse & they will keep the palm kernel shell at their warehouse. They supply palm kernel shells every day to the Japanese company. They get the PKS from Felda, the RISDA / private manufacturer. 

PALM KERNEL SHELL

For the production of heat and power, PKS can be used as an alternative fuel in biomass-based combined heat and power plants.

They got thousands of orders from their clients. The Japanese company that provides the warehouse will handle the cargo to export it to Japan. They use trucks to send the PKS to the port. They need to pack the PKS neat and tidy because Japanese people do not like messy and smelly stuff.

The extensive strategic planning process yields strategy". A strategy entails combining organizational operations as well as utilizing and distributing scarce resources within the organizational environment in order to fulfill current objectives.

Planning is the essential management job that entails deciding ahead of time what is to be done when it is to be done, how it is to be done, and who will do it. It is an intellectual process that establishes an organization's objectives and determines potential courses of action to attain those objectives. It outlines precisely how to achieve a given goal.

Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd was established in 2016 by two people but at that time they didn’t have an official company. In 2019, they started their business and have one worker. Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd is amongst a very small number of Malaysian Shipping/International Freight Forwarders and they do have a plan to expand their company by opening more branches in Malaysia because it is Malay people’s business. They also want to strengthen their company so that they can provide their service for a long time.

Besides, Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd’s strategies are based on their experience. Let’s talk about their background company. Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd is involved with Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) business. PKS mostly used in Japan as fuel so they are suppliers for that company in Japan. The owner of Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd tried to establish a good relationship with Japan to develop their business from time to time, so they will fulfill Japan’s company request for PKS. For example, Japan’s company wants 200 tons of PKS in a month so they will give exactly 200 tons of them.

Furthermore, their strategies are also based on their commitment for example they need to trust each other in that Japan’s company. As you might know, Japan is a country that is very punctual in their daily life. The same goes for their business, Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd needs to follow when Japan’s company wants their Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) and if Japan’s company wants the PKS for today, they also need to settle all documents for that day too. Their strategies are to make sure that there is no failure in their customer’s orders.

Last but not least, Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd’s strategies and planning is they build plan by using SWOT analysis. For example, they need to know how much budget they need to spend on their trucks to send their Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) and to pay the driver. They have five to six drivers for their trucks. They also need to know each department’s goals so that they can achieve them together.

In conclusion, to achieve their strategies and planning. They need to work hard to do better in their business for both companies. They also need to have a good relationship with that Japan’s companies for a long time so that they can expand their Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) in another country. Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd also can attract other business owners with their services offered if they continue to have good teamwork.
